Executive Summary

Leaders agree governance is weak but split on data, technology and capabilities.

The team agrees the industry is changing (5 of 5) and that Governance is weak, at Lens: 2.0 / 4. The sharpest divergence is Data, then Technology, each with some disagreement.

Governance is an accepted weakness: the constraint is capacity, not awareness. Data, Technology and Capabilities are contested strengths, so any plan that relies on them rests on assumptions some leaders do not share.

Next: Settle a single reading of Data before funding personalization pilots. Owner: Technology. Draft a creative AI governance framework covering talent consent and likeness. Owner: Executive office.

Confirmed strength. Rated in the upper half of the scale, and the team agrees. Contested strength. Rated in the upper half on average, but answers differ. Accepted weakness. Rated in the lower half, and the team agrees.

Ratings are the average answer, from 1 Immature to 4 Mature. The range is the lowest and highest answer given. Each verdict combines the rating with agreement.

Divided Areas

How many people gave each answer (answer · count), most divided area first. “Two camps” marks an area where at least a third of answers sit on each side of the middle.

Response Patterns

These grids show where the most people gave a low answer to one question and a high answer to the other.

Urgency vs Response

4 of 5 chose “Meaningfully” or “Profoundly” for industry change and “Under-committed” or “Slightly behind” for the response to date.

Each dot is a person. A number shows how many people gave the same two answers.

Position vs Response

1 of 5 chose “Well behind” or “Slightly behind” for position against peers and “About right” or “Ahead” for the response to date.

Priorities

Each person shared 100 points across the options. “Split” marks an option where answers varied by at least half its average and by at least 8 points, so the average hides more than one view.

Strengths and Weaknesses

In each person's own words. Lines making the same point count as one item.

Shared by 3 or more: three or more people named it. Shared by 3 or more, rated against: three or more people named it, and the team rated that area the other way. Single voice, Two voices: one or two people named it, with nothing against it. With only 5 responses, no function met the anonymity threshold, so none is shown.

Next Step

Next: the AI Disruption Analysis, then the AI Strategic Blueprint (Strategy Canvas, Transformation Roadmap and Executive Presentation).

How to Use This

Start with the areas where answers differ: settle them with the team before anyone plans around them. Then take the weaknesses the team agrees on and decide what to fund first. Check each rating against what people wrote.

Method

Instrument: 18 questions, answered independently by each member of the leadership team. 13 questions offer four answers scored 1 to 4, 2 share 100 points across options, and 3 are answered in each person's own words.

Responses: 5 completed of 8 invited. A round needs at least 3 before it reports anything quantitative.

Agreement: measured on how far apart the answers are, not on the rating. An area is aligned when the standard deviation of its answers is 0.75 or less. A team that agrees an area is weak is aligned. Alignment counts the six readiness areas. Position against peers and leadership ambition are in Beliefs and Ambition.

Matching: an item is linked to a rated area by keywords, such as “data” for Data. “Rated against” rests on that link.

Anonymity: respondents were told: “Your name is not shown with your answers. Written comments can appear in your own words. In a small group, people who know you may recognize what you write.” A function is shown beside an item only when at least 2 people in that function named it, the function had at least 3 respondents, and not all of them named it.

Findings are frozen when the round closes. A later round is a new reading, not an edit of this one.
