For Advisory Firms
AI Solution Risk Assessment
Describe one AI solution, assess it against eight AI ethics principles, and attach controls to the risks you name.
What It Is
The tool builds a structured record of one AI solution in its context of use. The tool's guide asks for a team with technical, policy, subject and operational knowledge, and the person accountable for the solution.
Every question gets a status: Answered, Gap flagged or Not applicable. A gap is a question nobody can answer yet, and the record lists every gap for the people who decide.
How It Works
Part A: Describe
Part A has 45 questions in nine steps. The steps run from the solution and its interface, inputs and outputs to its design, context, governance and monitoring. A question marked Not applicable needs a reason.
Part B: Assess
Part B assesses the solution against eight AI ethics principles. For each principle, your team lists the benefits, names the risks and notes what can be done to reduce them. Your team also lists the laws and policies it knows apply, and the tool suggests none.
Part C: Choose Controls
Part C attaches controls to the risks you named, from a catalog of 62 controls or in your own words. A risk with no control is listed under No Control Chosen.
What You Deliver
The record produces a Word file and a web view from the same content. The Word file opens with a summary and the gaps for decision makers. It names your firm as the preparer.
With white label switched on, Practice and Enterprise firms get their own brand in the file and no Mireto name. Solo files are co-branded.
You can share the web view with your client through a link that needs an access code. Sharing waits until the solution is named and every Part A question has a status, with a reason for each one marked Not applicable.
The form saves as you work and keeps a version history.
What It Is Not
People prepare the record, and it gives no score, no verdict and no approval. It supports your client's existing governance and risk processes and does not replace them.
Who Uses It
It comes with Templates, which the Solo and Practice plans include, and the research seat does not include it. Start when an AI solution is first under consideration, and update the record when the risks change.
