A calibrated measure of how much AI is likely to reshape your organization's business model. Not readiness. Not maturity. Disruption pressure, scored 0-100 across eight weighted dimensions.
The AI Disruption Score is a single number (0-100) that quantifies how much external AI pressure your organization faces. A higher score means more disruption to your current business model, workforce structure and competitive position.
It is deliberately not a readiness score. An organization can be highly prepared for AI and still score 85 because the external forces reshaping its industry are substantial. Conversely, an organization with no AI capability may score 35 because AI simply does not threaten its core operations.
The score is calculated from publicly available information (your website, news, financial data, job postings, peer activity and business registry records) for any organization, in any market.
The AI Disruption Score is built from eight dimensions. Four measure exposure (how vulnerable you are), one measures opportunity (what AI-era advantages you hold) and three measure defensibility (what structural protections exist). Weights reflect relative importance and sum to 10.0, so a perfect score across all dimensions equals 100.
Each dimension is rated against a written rubric, adapted for government, university and not-for-profit context, then combined with fixed weights that are the same for every organization. See the full methodology
Your AI Disruption Score falls into one of six bands. Each band carries a different strategic implication and shapes the tone and urgency of the analysis.
The most common failure in AI-generated assessments is that scores sound plausible but are not grounded in anything reproducible. An AI model asked to rate a company's AI exposure on a scale of 1-10 will produce a number. It will not produce the same number twice, and it cannot explain why it chose 7 instead of 6.
Our scoring model uses calibrated rubrics with hard boundaries for each dimension. A workforce replaceability rating of 7 or more requires that more than half of the organization's roles are knowledge work AI can credibly perform. A market velocity rating of 7 or more requires product or service cycles under a year and AI-native competitors that have entered the market in the last 24 months. These boundaries are not suggestions; they are constraints that prevent score inflation and ensure that different organizations receive meaningfully different scores.
